Nickel alloy bends are important components for changing media flow direction in piping systems. Compared to standard elbows, bends have larger bending radii, significantly reducing fluid resistance and erosion wear. The nickel alloy bends supplied by Hefei Tailan Metal Co., Ltd. are manufactured from high-quality nickel-based alloy seamless pipes through multiple precision processes including cold bending/hot bending, solution heat treatment, sizing, and pickling/polishing. Featuring large bending radius, uniform wall thickness, smooth internal and external surfaces, and minimal residual stress, they are specifically designed for demanding piping systems requiring exceptional media fluidity and erosion resistance.

Difference from Elbows:

Elbow: Small bending radius (typically R=1.0D or 1.5D), mass-produced, standard component

Bend: Large bending radius (typically R≥3D), customizable for special applications

Dimensional and Appearance Inspection

Diameter: Measuring both end diameters using calipers, tape measures

Wall Thickness: Multi-point measurement using ultrasonic thickness gauges (extrados, intrados, sides)

Bending Angle: Measuring using angle gauges, templates

Bending Radius: Measuring using tape measures, templates

Straight Section Length: Measuring straight section lengths at both ends using tape measures

Ovality: Measuring maximum and minimum diameters at bend, calculating ovality

Surface: Visual inspection ensuring no cracks, wrinkles, scratches, or other defects

Non-Destructive Testing

Penetrant Testing (PT): 100% inspection of bend internal and external surfaces, special attention to extrados tension area

Ultrasonic Thickness Measurement: Verifying minimum wall thickness
